Cheri - When trust is allowed to grow
Cheri came into our lives in June 2024 – a beautiful, proud stallion with lots of energy and even more question marks in his eyes. He was physically healthy, but life hadn’t really given him a chance to just be.

Cheri was ‘stubborn’ – loud, boisterous, overwhelmed by the world and himself. And at the same time, there was something in him that touched us deeply: a gentle heart, a being full of kindness that simply wanted to be seen and understood.
With the necessary respect and awareness of his needs, we had Cheri neutered – a step that opened the door to a freer, more relaxed life in company. Integrating him into the herd was a process – full of small steps, mutual learning and growing trust. Today, Sherry is right in the middle of it all: as a social, blossoming member of the herd who has found his place.
He has one small speciality: Sherry is a so-called laryngeal whistler – he makes a soft sound when he breathes. Not a flaw for him, not an obstacle. Just a sound that reminds him of his uniqueness.
We are grateful to be able to accompany Cheri. He reminds us every day how much healing is possible if you don’t give up – if you give room for development, for trust, for second chances.
