When Zinco came to us, he was in a difficult condition: he was weaving, bucking and biting – behaviours that clearly showed how much he had suffered from stress, pain or lack of care. He was barely sane and completely shattered inside. After he was neutered, he began to change slowly and carefully. I gave him time. And space. And other horses. Bit by bit, he was able to open up – and learn to be a horse again.

Today, Zinco lives as a happy pensioner in our herd. He enjoys the peace and quiet, his horse friends and the sun on his back – and the security of finally having arrived. He is the herd leader (with his partner Bora) and his presence alone settles disputes calmly and firmly, never an unfair gesture!
